PARIS, Oct. 20 (UPI) — A French reporter who disappeared in Iraq in 2003 is dead, France’s Foreign Affairs Ministry announced Thursday.
Journalist Frederic Nerac went missing in Iraq in March 2003 shortly after the U.S.-led invasion.
Nasrat, a news anchor working for the Coalition Provisional Authority’s Iraq Media Network (IMN), was killed in the town of Baqouba when unidentified armed assailants opened fire on a bus carrying several employees of the IMN’s Diyala Media Centre.
